Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex
The City of Miami Gardens has a number of beautiful and well maintained parks, trails, and public spaces for residents to enjoy various leisure activities, sports, and more. Located at 3000 NW 199 St., the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex boasts amenities such as:

Bunche Park
Bunche Park is one of the largest parks in the City of Miami Gardens, sitting on 7.2 acres of land. Under the City’s $60M general obligation bond program, the City of Miami Gardens re-opened this completely renovated state-of-the-art park on May 11, 2021. Bunche Park boasts a two-story alternative sports building with over 14,000 square feet; a multipurpose gymnasium; indoor elevated running track; shaded playground with soft rubberized play surface; two outdoor basketball courts; artificial turf multipurpose football field; multipurpose meeting rooms; Wi-Fi connectivity; and a video surveillance system with cameras monitored from the City’s Real-Time Crime Center. Bunche Park offers a variety of programs, including:

Andover Park
The City of Miami Gardens continues to make improvements to its public infrastructure to ensure there is quality recreational programming for everyone in the community to enjoy. Andover Park was recently renovated under the City’s $60M general obligation bond program. Renovations to Andover Park include a new basketball court, improved walking trail, new landscaping and irrigation, perimeter picket fencing, a video surveillance system with cameras monitored from the City’s Real-Time Crime Center and an inclusive playground with elements for children with autism and physical disabilities. The initiative is consistent with the City’s dedication to add value to its communities by providing recreational opportunities and green spaces that contribute positively to the physical and mental wellbeing of its residents.
Andover Park is located at 100 NW 209 Street.
Senior Family Center
The Senior Family Center located at 18330 NW 12 Avenue in the City of Miami Gardens is an impressive 38,000 square foot property featuring several multi-use rooms and spacious meeting halls; a fitness center; a beautiful illuminated walking trail that surrounds a community botanical garden with exotic fruits and plants; an outdoor covered patio; outdoor kitchen; public pavilions; and a video surveillance system with cameras monitored from the Real-Time Crime Center. The Senior Family Center is part of the $60M general obligation bond program that was approved by residents in April 2014 for improvements to the City’s parks infrastructure and enhance public safety efforts.
Programming at the Senior Family Center includes: Walking Club, Senior Tech Program, Financial Literacy Classes, Foreign Language Club, Yoga, Silver Sneakers program, Line Dancing, Painting Workshop, Senior Seminars, Computer Lab, Bingo, Chair Pilates, Pickle Ball, Food Demos and monthly cultural trips.

Jazz in the Gardens – Music Festival
Jazz in The Gardens has easily become the City of Miami Gardens’ premiere entertainment event, celebrating diversity, culture and arts through various genres of music. The venue is a platform for world-renowned talent as well as local artists. The economic impact of JITG is felt by vendors as well as local retailers and hotels throughout the region.

Miami Grand Prix Formula One Race
In 2022 Miami Gardens became the 11th location for the The Miami Grand Prix Formula One Race United States since the Championship began in 1950. In addition to attracting thousands of visitors, Formula 1 has a substantial economic impact on local businesses in Miami Gardens. Formula 1 works with the local community to support local businesses and the community to ensure they receive exposure to the full benefits of the race. This includes a STEM education program through F1 in Schools as well as the opportunity for local businesses to be part of the race weekend.

Another one of the City’s premier entertainment destinations is Topgolf. In 2017, Topgolf International Inc. opened its first South Florida facility within the City of Miami Gardens.
